CERTITUDO CAPITAL CONCLUDES REALIZATION AGREEMENT FOR 561 RENTAL HOUSES IN AMSTERDAM

‘S-HERTOGENBOSCH, 17 MARCH 2022 | Certitudo Capital will develop ‘&Amsterdam’. A future-proof new-build complex with 561 homes and facilities. For this, Certitudo Capital concluded a realization agreement with the municipality of Amsterdam. ‘&Amsterdam’ will be located in Amstel III, a new mixed part of the city for thousands of Amsterdammers between the Bijlmer ArenA and AMC. This year, the Amstel III construction engine is running at full speed to have 5,000 homes ready by 2027. Certitudo Capital is intensively involved in this and thus responds to the housing needs of starters, young internationals and employees in the healthcare sector in Amsterdam-Zuidoost. “This marks the start of this new residential development in Amstel III. The &Amsterdam project combines urban and green, private sector and social housing, living and working,” says Arno van den Thillart, director of project development Certitudo Capital.

&Amsterdam will soon consist of residential towers with 561 rental houses overlooking the city, the Green Heart and the skyline of the Randstad. The apartments vary in size and prices. There will be studios, duplex houses, two, three and four-room apartments with surfaces from approximately 31 sqm to 120 sqm. We make at least 25% of the homes available to residents from Amsterdam Southeast or to people with a key profession in healthcare, education or the fire service. The houses have a private outdoor space or a shared courtyard garden. In addition, approximately 1,000 sqm is available on the ground floor of the towers for facilities. The parking garage offers space for 208 cars with a large number of charging facilities and (electric) bicycle parking.

The future Hondsrug Park is located directly in front of &Amsterdam. The current Hondsrugweg between the Bijlmer ArenA and the A9 will change in the coming years into a green and lively city park of no less than 700 meters that offers space for rest, space, sports and activities.
